Cultivating Legacy. Growing Community. Restoring the Land.

Romi Shamba’s mission is to educate, empower, and engage communities through sustainable agriculture, legacy preservation, and collective economic opportunities rooted in the land.

Romi Shamba was founded by Tarsha Moseley. With a passion for empowering communities and a commitment to advocacy, Tarsha is a dynamic business owner, educator, and author. Holding dual master’s degrees and extensive experience as a strategic guide for transformation, Tarsha works tirelessly to create pathways for economic freedom and equity.

RoMi is a blend of the first two letters of Tarsha’s parents’ names — Ronald and Mina — honoring their memory and the seeds they planted in her. After their passing, she sought a way to continue their legacy. “RoMi” also carries rich meaning in Hebrew, symbolizing elevation, and “Shamba” is Swahili for farm — connecting heritage, language, and land in one purpose-driven name.

Many communities have lost connection to the land due to:
Heirs’ property issues
Lack of access to tools and training,
Myths that farming isn’t profitable, modern, or ‘cool’,
Limited intergenerational knowledge transfer
